Frequently asked questions

I didn't get my sign-in email

Check your spam folder first. Magic links can take up to a minute to arrive. If it still hasn't shown up, request a new one from the login page. If your provider is blocking the email entirely, email us and we'll help.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing and click Manage subscription. This opens Stripe's billing portal where you can cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel from your device's subscription settings.

Is my free trial charged?

No. You won't be charged during the 7-day trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged at all. If you don't cancel, billing starts on day 8.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes all your tasks, notes, and subscription data within 30 days. If you'd like to export your data first, contact support.

Can I use FlowState offline?

Partial offline support is on our roadmap. Today, the app needs an internet connection to sync. Focus timer sessions already in progress will keep running if you briefly lose connection.

Why do tasks reset at midnight?

They don't reset, they roll. Unfinished tasks from Today stay in Today until you complete them or move them to Whenever. There are no 'overdue' states — by design. If your tasks aren't showing up where you expect, pull to refresh.

The focus timer stopped when I switched apps

Modern browsers throttle background tabs. When you return to the tab, the timer catches up to the correct elapsed time. On iOS, the native app (coming soon) handles backgrounding properly.

My calendar isn't connecting

First, disconnect and reconnect from Settings → Calendar. If the error persists, check that your calendar provider's API isn't down and that you approved all the scopes during OAuth. Email us the error message and we'll dig in.

Can you add [feature]?

Email us. Seriously — we read every feature request. ADHD-specific feedback is especially useful, because we want to build for how your brain actually works, not how a generic productivity customer thinks.

I'm having a mental-health crisis

FlowState is a productivity tool, not a crisis service. Please contact your local emergency services. In the US: dial or text 988. In the UK: Samaritans 116 123. In Australia: Lifeline 13 11 14. In New Zealand: 1737.

Service status

If the app seems down, check flowstateapp.app in a private/incognito window. Most outages are resolved within a few minutes. For anything longer, we'll post updates at our support email.
